Huskies Families,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. I’m honored to serve as the principal of Norland Middle. It is great to be a part of a community where students, teachers, and parents care for each other and strive to build meaningful relationships that support academic and social-emotional growth.

Husky Nation is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for each student. Our students are kind, compassionate, and resilient.

Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. At Husky Nation, we will continue to guide our mission to provide a rigorous and joyful inclusive school environment. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement and to foster a lifetime love for learning.

Partnering with families will be crucial this year as we continue to face uncertainties following the global pandemic. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our school’s website and social media outlets for important updates and information. I encourage all of our parents to become active members of our PTSA. With your support, our staff and students can have amazing events and a variety of learning opportunities.

In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversations and positive input throughout this year and years to come. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2022-2023 school year.

Yours in Service,

Dr. Sacha T. Challenger
